Events & Exhibits

The Town of Penetanguishene offers a few different options when it comes to beaches for enjoying the warm weather. Rotary Champlain Wendat Park and Huronia Park all offer sandy beaches, great swimming areas along with other amenities including playgrounds, pavilions, washrooms and much more. Accessible by foot or by car these beaches are a great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

  • Daily crafts and activities at the museum.

Yes You Can Hand Drum Workshop

$10 per person
  • Date: March 15th
  • Time: 2PM to 3:30PM
  • Recommended for children 7 years and older
  • Join Deb Brown of "Yes You Can" Hand Drum for a super fun workshop. Learn the basis of hand drumming using djembe drums multicultural drums.

Easter Eggstravaganza

$5 per child (Adults are free)
  • Date: Saturday, April 8, 2023
  • Time: 10AM to 12PM
  • Easter egg hunt, visit with Easter Bunny, crafts & more! Registration is required.

Canada Day at the Museum

  • Date: Saturday, July 1, 2023
  • Time: 11AM to 6PM
  • Music, BBQ, bouncy castles, children's activities, free cupcakes & more!

Halloween Spooktacular

  • Date: Saturday, October 28, 2023
  • Time: 10AM to 12PM
  • Halloween fun at the Museum including scavenger hunt, trick or treating, crafts, face painting & more!

Fun with Santa

  • Date: Saturday, December 16, 2023
  • Time: 9:30AM to 12:30PM
  • Visit with Mr. & Mrs. Claus, scavenger hunt, cookie decorating, crafts & more!
