County Road 93 Multi-Use Trail Phase 1
The County of Simcoe has retained Seeley and Arnill Construction to complete County Road 93 Multi Use Trail - Phase 1.
Phase 1 of the Multi Use Trail includes the installation and construction of the trail, retaining wall and box culvert within the County Road 93 right-of-way from Thompsons Drive to approximately 300 meters north of Vindin Street. Seeley and Arnill Construction plan to proceed with construction on May 4, 2020. The construction is anticipated to be completed by September 25, 2020.
Lane Restrictions
Traffic speed will remain at 60 km/h through the work zone during construction. A minimum of two paved lanes (one each way) will remain open at all times. Advanced warning signs will be installed on County Road 93 to warn motorists of the traffic disruptions.
For the safety of the construction zone and travelling pedestrians, temporary concrete barriers will remain in place and may reduce line of sight. As a precaution, left turns will be prohibited exiting the affected driveway properties.
We ask that extra precaution be taken and that you observe all advisory signs and traffic control measures during the foreseeable future. We appreciate your patience during this vital improvement to the County of Simcoe.
How will I get to My Home/Business?
- The Contractor will maintain access to your home/business. On several occasions, however, direct access to CR 93 may be interrupted due to large equipment entering and exiting the site.
- Access will be restored as quickly as possible after the work is completed and the equipment has been removed.
- Pedestrian access to homes and businesses will be maintained during construction.
- Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Will My Services Be Affected?
Telephone, Electrical, Cable TV and Gas services should not be affected by the construction, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Safety
- Due to COVID-19, extra precautions by the County of Simcoe, Seeley and Arnill Construction and R.J. Burnside & Associates Ltd. will be taken throughout construction to ensure the safety of the public.
- Road reconstruction involves the use of heavy equipment and the unavoidable creation of obstacles.
- These circumstances are attractive to children, and we ask that you caution your children to stay clear of the working area.
- We ask that you take extra caution during the construction period and to follow the Ontario COVID-19 guidelines to ensure everyone’s safety.
