Gerry Marshall Resigns as Mayor in Penetanguishene

The Town has received written resignation from Gerry Marshall from his seat as Mayor of the Town of Penetanguishene to accept the Interim Chief Administrative Officer position with the Town of Wasaga Beach.

Given the Town’s governance provisions, Deputy Mayor Anita Dubeau will assume the functions commonly performed by the Mayor in the interim, and Council will continue to govern and provide direction as per the norm.

The Town wishes Gerry well in his new role with the Town of Wasaga Beach, and appreciates his service over the past eight years as Mayor.  

Gerry Marshall’s name will remain on the ballot for the October 2018 Municipal Election for the office of Mayor.
