Notice of Dufferin, Burke & Robert East Intersection Changes

The Town of Penetanguishene would like to inform residents and visitors that the intersection at Dufferin Street, Burke Street and Robert Street East has had some minor changes implemented as of September 8, 2022. 

The following directions will be applied when approaching and proceeding through this intersection, effective immediately.

• Traffic moving in a West direction on Robert Street East is now to Yield to through traffic which is traveling on Dufferin Street.
• Dufferin Street Traffic heading South is to proceed to the new stop bar placed adjacent to Robert Street East.
• Traffic moving East on Burke Street is to stop at the new stop bar, then proceed to the new stop bar adjacent to Robert Street East when the intersection is clear.
• Traffic moving East on Robert Street East is to navigate around the yellow triangle placed in the intersection as they proceed to Dufferin Street or Burke Street.

The Public Works Department is advising all pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists to use this intersection with caution while the new configuration is adopted by all drivers.
