- Council held a Statutory Public Meeting under the Planning Act with respect to applications for a Draft Plan of Subdivision and an implementing Zoning By-law Amendments for the property at 123 Robert Street East. Comments were made by members of the public in attendance and will be reported on at an upcoming Committee of the Whole meeting for further discussion.
- Council received a video presentation regarding Employee Recognition for Years of Service for 2020.
- Council received a memo regarding Revised Municipal Law Enforcement Procedure Policy #001-2021.
- Council received a verbal update from the Chief Administrative Officer regarding COVID-19 Municipal Impacts.
- Council approved that the requested letter of consent for the transfer of the existing encroachment agreement at 88 Church Street be provided to the owner to facilitate the sale of the property.
- Council approved the Town of Penetanguishene entering into a pre-servicing agreement with 2704657 Ontario Inc. for the 40 Thompsons Road Subdivision. A new street in the development will be called Lahey Crescent.
- Council passed 6 by-laws including:
- 2021-21 Being a By-law to Authorize the Entering into an Agreement with Georgian Shores Boat Tours for the provision a Commercial Vessel License for Tour and Charter Boat Operations for the 2021-2024 seasons.
- 2021-22 Being a By-law to establish a Pre-Servicing Agreement with 2704657 Ontario Inc. (40 Thompsons Road)
- Committee received a presentation from Dr. José Etcheverry of York University and Sharon Vegh (EDCNS) regarding the Climate Change Solutions Parks initiative.
- Committee received a presentation from Mark Charlebois, Chief Wastewater Operator regarding the Wastewater Pollution Control Plants Annual Report 2020.
- Committee approved the Asphalt Resurfacing Tender submitted from IPAC Paving Company in the amount of $243,653.59 (including HST).
- Committee approved Council entering into a three (3) year contract with Sodrox Chemicals Ltd. to supply Aluminum Sulphate to the Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
- Committee approved the awarding of the Geotechnical Engineering Services and Quality Assurance Testing Contract to Sirati & Partners Consulting Ltd. for the three (3) year term.
- Committee approved the amending and extension agreement with Rogers Communications Inc for Telecommunications Site at the Centennial Drive Elevated Water Tower
- Committee received memo to Council regarding an update for the Wharf Concrete Repairs Launch & Sidewalk repairs.
- Committee received memo to Council regarding an update for the Age Friendly Funding & Project Award.
- Committee approved the York University partnership in Ecology Garden and staff be authorized to proceed with an agreement for York University to utilize the designated portion of Ecology Garden for the purposes of developing a Climate Change Solutions Park.
- Committee approved the addition of the Summer Swimming Program to the User Fee By-Law.
- Committee approved Day Camp revisions in the Access to Affordable Recreation Policy.
- Committee approved the draft agreement between the Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene and the Southern Georgian Bay Chamber of Commerce.
- Committee received the 1st Quarter Planning and Community Development Department Update for information.
- Committee received the March 2021 Monthly Municipal Law Enforcement Activity Report for information.
- Committee received a memo regarding the Business Recovery Task Force Meeting #10 and for information.
- Committee received results of the Public Meeting for Zoning Amendment (File No. Z.A. 1/2021) 77 Fox Street and recommended approval of the amending By-law.
- Committee approved a three (3) year extension to the Draft Plan of Subdivision approval to June 24, 2024 for the proposed development at 40 Thompsons Road.
- Committee received the 2020 Annual Remuneration Report for Council, Boards and Committees, 2020 Property Taxes Receivable Report and Staff Professional Development (1/2) Days Reports for information.
- Committee approved that the Town enter into a Transfer Payment Agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Office of the Fire Marshal for the Fire Safety Grant Program.
- Committee approved the 2020 Capital Carry Forwards totaling $3,655,483 and directed staff to amend the 2021 Capital Budget to include the actual 2020 Capital Carry Forwards.
- Committee approved that the Principles Integrity current contract as the Town's Integrity Commissioner be extended until December 31, 2023.
