Flags lowered in honour of the mass grave found at the Marieval Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan
Flags on Town properties will be lowered to half-mast in honour all of the children found in unmarked graves at the former site of the Marieval Indian Residential School in Saskatchewan.
This half-masting is also in memory of the thousands of children who were sent to residential schools, for those who never returned, and in honour of the families whose lives were forever changed by the residential school system.
