Notice of Study Completion– 24 August 2021
The Town of Penetanguishene (‘Town’) has completed a Schedule ‘B’ Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to address the intersection improvements required at Fuller Avenue and Robert St. E. as recommended in the 2018 ‘1145 Fuller Avenue Traffic Impact Study’ (JD Northcote Engineering Inc.). The proposed study area is located at the intersection of Robert St. E and Fuller Ave. and extends approximately 100m in all directions (north, south and west).
The primary objective of this Class EA developed a recommended intersection improvement solution that will provide a suitable level of traffic service for the study area while adhering to Town Standard designs for road and bike lane widths.
Completion Process
The Class EA report has been finalized which documents the environmental constraints, planning, decision making process and public consultation process. The Class EA report is available on the Town website for public review for a duration of thirty (30) days starting 24 August 2021 and ending on 23 September 2021. If there are concerns regarding potential impacts to constitutionally protected Aboriginal and Treaty rights, a request for a Part II order in writing should be addressed to the Minister of Environment Conservation and Parks as well as the Director of the Environmental Assessments Branch. Requests on any other grounds will not be considered in accordance with updated regulations. Above noted requests are to be sent no later than 5:00 p.m local time 23 September 2021.
Information collected will be done so in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. With exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record.
