Gas Service Break at 105 Main Street

The Town of Penetanguishene has just been notified of a gas service line break on Main Street located in the mid-block area between Robert Street and Poyntz Street. The gas service line break is considered minor in nature but Emergency crews have instructed those affected to remain outside until repairs can be completed. The Fire Department will be standing by until repairs have been completed by Enbridge Gas Technicians who have been dispatched to the site. We will continue to update this post as information becomes available.

Update - 6:28pm: Enbridge is on site assessing situation.

Update - 7:04pm: Enbridge has secured the gas line. Emergency crews are packing up and residents are able to return to their homes. Thank you to all involved for your patience and understanding.

Update - 7:28pm: Enbridge has discovered another small leak and is working on fixing it. Emergency Crews have been asked to keep residents from returning until this additional repair is completed.

Update - 8:39pm: Enbridge has repaired the additional leak and residents are now clear to return home. Thank you again to all involved including our wonderful Penetanguishene Fire Department.
