Main Street Reconstruction Project Update - May 11, 2018

Ongoing road construction

As we officially move towards the seventh week of reconstruction, the progress and precision that the contractor is moving with is very encouraging.   

 JB Enterprises Ltd. has completed the following work for the week ending May 11, 2018:

  • The Sanitary Sewer  main has been installed on Main Street from the Sewage Treatment Plant Lane to Tessier Drive;
  • Sanitary services and water services to the individual properties have been installed from the intersection of Beck Blvd/ Wolfe Street to Brock Street;
  • Watermain installation has started at Beck Boulevard and Wolfe Street; and,
  • The 600mm diameter Storm Sewer main has been started at the Tessier Drive/Main Street intersection.

The following items are scheduled to be completed for the week of May 14th to May 18th, 2018:

  • Watermain installation on Main St. continuing south from Beck Boulevard;
  • Continue with sanitary services installations between Tessier Drive and Brock Street;
  • Continue with Water Services installations between Tessier Drive and Brock Street; and,
  • Continue installation of the 600mm diameter storm sewer main from Tessier Lane heading north to Brock Street

JB Enterprises has indicated that they will be working on Saturday May 12, 2018 to prepare for reconstruction activities for the following week.

If you feel that you would like to have your water service size increased from the existing size, please contact the undersigned as soon as possible to ensure the contractor makes the necessary provisions.  There are currently seven (7) properties that have made this request which have been conveyed to the contractor.

Finally, if you are looking to access the Launch Ramp this weekend, be advised that access will be available from the Beck Boulevard/Wolfe Street direction so plan your route accordingly.
