Notice of Committee of Adjustment, June 26, 2023
The Committee of Adjustment of the Town of Penetanguishene will hold an Electronic Public Meeting, Monday, June 26 2023 at 7:00 P.M. to hear a Minor Variance application pursuant to Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990. The electronic Public Meeting with be hosted using the “Zoom” platform for online meetings where the public can participate via video or telephone.
Minor Variance application A7/2023 relates to the lands legally described as Part Lots 127, 128, and 129 on the West Side of Church Street Plan 70 in the Town of Penetanguishene and is municipally known as 23 Don Street (see Location Map attached). The purpose of the application is to permit:
- A maximum cumulative lot coverage of 142 square metres all accessory buildings, whereas a maximum of 100 square metres is permitted;
- A minimum setback to the interior side lot line (east) of 0.18 metres, whereas a minimum setback of 1.2 metres is permitted for an accessory building; and
- A minimum setback to the interior side lot line (west) of 0 metres for a platform, whereas a minimum setback of 1.2 metres is permitted.
The effect of the application is to permit the existing accessory buildings and an existing platform attached to the main building to remain on the subject property.
