Notice of Semi-Annual Traffic Signal Maintenance: November 19, 2025

The Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department wishes to inform residents, businesses, and motorists that Walker’s Electric, in coordination with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), will be conducting the semi-annual maintenance inspection of all traffic signal systems along Main Street.

This routine maintenance is essential to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of traffic signals throughout the community. The inspection will involve testing signal functionality, verifying electrical components, and performing any necessary adjustments to maintain compliance with provincial safety standards.

Scheduled Date and Time:
Wednesday, November 19, 2025
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Work will begin at the intersection of Thompsons Road and Main Street and proceed along Main Street. During this period, motorists may experience temporary lane restrictions or brief interruptions at signalized intersections. Traffic control measures will be in place, and the OPP will assist in maintaining safe traffic flow.
