Penetanguishene Arena and Museum Reopen to the Public
January 31, 2022 - The Government of Ontario has announced a three-step plan to gradually ease public health measures in an effort to blunt the spread of the Omicron variant. Each step of reopening will be separated by 21 days to allow public health trends to be monitored.
These time-limited measures are to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed as the province continues to accelerate its booster dose rollout.
Effective January 31, 2022 at 12:01 a.m., the following Penetanguishene municipal services, facilities and amenities have reopened.
- The Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre has reopened with limited capacities. Proof of Vaccination using QR codes is mandatory.
- The Penetanguishene Centennial Museum & Archives has reopened. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 9am – 4:30pm. Proof of Vaccination is also required.
- Recreation Programs that had been placed on hold will commence this week. Emails to each participant will be send out prior to the program date with details.
