RESPONSE TO ODOUR CONCERNS IDENTIFIED AT THE PHILIP H. JONES POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT

The Town of Penetanguishene would like to inform and assure residents/businesses that Public Works staff are actively investigating and responding to the odour concerns that have been identified at the Philip H. Jones Pollution Control Plant recently.

We have identified the source of the odour.  Monitoring by Midland-Penetanguishene Fire Services confirms there is no danger or health impact to the public.  As we require the support of an external vendor, we can’t yet provide a timeline for resolution.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding the above, please contact the undersigned.

Bryan Murray

Director of Public Works
