Road closure and water service interruption notices for Don Street and Leonard Avenue

This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene to inform you that there will be a road closure on Don Street, between Fox Street and Church Street and on Leonard Avenue, between Don Street and Yeo Street. These sections will be closed on Thursday, August 25th, 2022 between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00pm.

The road closure is required for the replacement of watermain valves. During this time Don Street, from Fox Street to Church Street AND Leonard Avenue, from Don Street to Yeo Street will experience a water service interruption.

When the water service resumes you may experience a slight discoloration in the water for a short period of time. We ask that you please remove the screens from your faucets and open all taps for approximately 5-10 minutes to remove any air and flush your plumbing system.
