Snow Removal in Primary and Secondary Areas

The Town of Penetanguishene would like to advise residents and businesses that the Road Division will be performing snow removal in accordance with the Town’s Winter Maintenance Policy. Work will begin in the Primary and Secondary Areas (as shown on the map below) starting the week of January 5, 2026, during overnight hours from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

To assist with snow removal operations, please remember that on-street parking is prohibited between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. from November 1 to April 1. Vehicles parked on the roadway during these times may be ticketed or towed. Residents are also reminded not to place waste or recycling containers on the road or sidewalk, and to avoid depositing snow onto municipal roads or neighboring properties.

When encountering snow plows, please drive cautiously and allow operators plenty of space to work. Our plow drivers work long hours in challenging conditions to keep roads safe for everyone. Your patience and courtesy are greatly appreciated.
