 DEPUTATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS:

  • Committee received 7 deputations for funding requests, including:
    • A deputation from the Penetanguishene Public Library CEO Linda Keenan.
    • A deputation from Community REACH Executive Director Cathy Greer.
    • A deputation Severn Sound Environmental Association Executive Director Julie Cayley and Board Chair Steffen Walma.
    • A deputation from Huronia Airport Commission Manager Zachery Premate and Board Chair Roy Ellis.
    • A deputation from Economic Development Corporation of North Simcoe (EDCNS) Board Vice Chair Allex Laurin.
    • A deputation from Culture Alliance Acting Chair Michel Payment.
    • A deputation from Georgian Bay Physician Recruitment Credentialing and Physician Recruitment Specialist Shannon Laurin and Dr. Jeff Golisky.
  • Committee received a deputation from Dennis McEntee regarding the Fees and Charges By-law.

MATTERS FOR CONSIDERATION

  • Committee requested amendments to the Fees and Charges By-law Annual Update related to the public skating and launching ramp fees. The updated report and proposed by-law will be brought to the December 14, 2022 meeting for consideration.
  • Committee approved the 2023 Community Capital Grant Requests as presented.
  • Committee approved all of the 2023 Boards, Committees & Other Organizations Financial Requests as presented.
  • Committee approved the additional operating budget for a permanent full-time Harbour Master/Road Patroller as presented.
  • Committee received 2023 Budget Draft #2 and Department Verbal Presentations.
  • Mayor D. Rawson determined that the capital budget portion of the report being considered be deferred to Wednesday December 7th following the Public Consultation and amended the motion to approve the operating budget only proceed to the Draft #3 presentation on December 21, 2022.
