The Town of Penetanguishene is closing all Municipal Offices effective January 14, 2021. Services remain available online or by phone.

January 13, 2021 – With the provinces decision to issue a stay-at-home order requiring everyone to remain at home with exceptions for permitted purposes or activities, the Town of Penetanguishene Municipal Offices will be closed to public effective, January 14, 2021 at 8:30a.m.

Residents are reminded that although the municipal offices are closed, staff will continue to be working and available to assist you with online options for service during this time.

“Our Emergency Management Team is in full support of the provinces state of emergency declaration, closing non-essential services and issuing a stay-at-home order is what is required to reduce the rising spread of COVID-19 cases in our own area” says CAO Jeff Lees.

Residents can contact staff by phone or email during regular working hours, 8:30am – 4:30pm. A full staff directory is available here or by calling 705-549-7453.

“Following provincial orders and closing our municipal offices to the public is going to ensure we do our part in keeping our staff and our community safe” says Mayor Doug Leroux. “Although our doors are closed, staff will be working hard to ensure all resident inquiries are met and assistance in navigating online options of service is provided.”
