Town of Penetanguishene adjusts to new public health measures effective today

March 1, 2022 – As of 12:01 a.m. this morning, Ontario has moved into the next phase of its reopening plan. The key elements of this phase are outlined below for each facility.

Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre (PMCC) and The Penetanguishene Centennial Museum & Archives

  • Proof of vaccination is no longer required to enter the PMCC or Museum:
  • All capacity limits for both facilities have been lifted.
  • Patrons are required to self-screen using signage posted at facility entries
  • Masks are still required when visiting the PMCC and Museum, until further notice; and
  • Appointments for the Museum research room remain mandatory.

Penetanguishene Municipal Office

The Penetanguishene Municipal offices have re-opened to the public, as of February 28th. Residents continue to be encouraged to use online options for service where possible. Online options regarding tax payment options are outlined here.  Staff will be available by phone or email during regular working hours, to answer any inquiries that do not require an in-person visit.
