Town of Penetanguishene congratulates Karen Ryan on receiving the 2023 Senior of the Year Award
Penetanguishene, ON - The Town of Penetanguishene is proud to announce Karen Ryan as the winner of the 2023 Senior of the Year Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to a senior who has made an outstanding contribution to their community.
Karen is truly a one-in-a-million human being, she is a dedicated volunteer, talented event organizer, and is highly regarded by every single individual who she has impacted as part of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre (GBCSC) family.
Karen's dedication and passion for helping others has had a profound impact on those around her. She continues to play an incredible role in improving life in Penetanguishene for so many people, and we can expect that we’ll see her continue to leave her mark for years to come.
The award was presented to Karen at the Seniors Information Day event this past Thursday, June 8. Members of Council will formally recognize Karen at the June 14, 2023, Council Meeting. Members of the public are invited to attend in person at Town Hall, watch live on RogersTV Cable 53, or the Town of Penetanguishene YouTube Channel.
