Town of Penetanguishene makes changes to align with Public Health and Workplace Safety Measures
March 21, 2022 - With continued improvement in trends, Ontario has removed the mandatory masking requirement for most settings as of today, March 21. The Town of Penetanguishene has adjusted some services to be aligned with Public Health & Workplace Safety Measures. The following changes have taken effect, as of 8:30am this morning.
Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre and Penetanguishene Centennial Museum & Archives
- Wearing of masks is no longer mandatory (but mask use and physical distancing are still encouraged). Additional changes made into effect March 1st, 2022 are outlined here.
Town Administrative Offices
Effective Monday March 21, masks are no longer mandatory for staff and visitors. We ask that everyone be kind to one another, respect each other’s choices, of which should not be questioned or commented on.Residents continue to be encouraged to use online options for service where possible. Online options regarding tax payment options are outlined here. Staff will be available by phone or email during regular working hours, to answer any inquiries that do not require an in-person visit. Mid-Pen Transit Service
- Masks are still required when using transit, unless proof of medical exemption is provided; and
- Transit operators will continue to wear masks.
