Culture Alliance Unveils New Logo

September 23, 2020 - Culture in the Heart of Georgian Bay has a new look with the Culture Alliance unveiling their logo.

Update to Public Regarding Provincial Offences Act Matters: Do Not Attend Court

September 22, 2020

All in-person Provincial Offences Act (POA) matters scheduled from Monday, March 16, 2020 through to and including Friday, October 16, 2020 will be adjourned and rescheduled to a later date. If you have a matter scheduled in-person during this time, do not attend court. This applies to all POA courts in Ontario.

Notice of Work Being Completed in the Town Dock Parking Area September 23, 2020

The Town of Penetanguishene would like to advise residents of work being completed in the Town Dock Parking Area commencing Wednesday September 23, 2020. The parking lot contains 4 block planters that require replacement or repair. Two of the planters will be removed and materials re-used to repair the others.

Notice of Intention to pass an Amending By-law To Remove a Holding “H” Symbol: 53 Church Street

Town of Penetanguishene Council will hold an Electronic Public Meeting on Wednesday October 14th, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. to pass a Zoning By-law amendment to remove a Holding “H” Symbol from the Zoning By-law as per Section 36 of the Planning Act R.S.O 1990 c.P.13. The electronic Public Meeting with be hosted using the “Zoom” platform for online meetings where the public can participate via video or telephone.

Ontario Limits the Size of Unmonitored and Private Social Gatherings across Entire Province

TORONTO — The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and the Public Health Measures Table, is reducing limits on the number of people permitted to attend unmonitored and private social gatherings across the entire province. Earlier this week, the government imposed these restrictions in Toronto, Peel Region and Ottawa.

Gas Service Repair: Park Street, Alma Street and Therrien Court

September 18, 2020

The Town of Penetanguishene would like to advise residents in the vicinity of Park Street, Alma Street and Therrien Court that a gas service has been damaged during the remedial works currently taking place. Enbridge Gas is on route to the site for an emergency repair. At this point, there is no need to leave the immediate area but emergency crews on site will determine if this action becomes necessary.
