The Town of Penetanguishene continues to monitor news and updates concerning COVID-19 in order to ensure we work to keep our community members safe. The following update provided on November 27th is in addition to the updates provided in previous weeks here.
This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene to inform you that Church Street will be closed between Broad Street and Waypoint, on Thursday, November 26, 2020 between the hours of 8:00 am until the completion of the services repair.
The Town of Penetanguishene would like to advise all residents and businesses that the Roads Division has implemented a two (2) shift winter maintenance schedule commencing Monday, November 30th, 2020 until April 30th, 2021. The Roads Division currently operates in a single shift rotation, 7:00AM - 3:30PM. The new schedule will have staff working in two shifts, a day shift and night shift to provide better coverage during our winter months.
Updated as of November 25, 2020: All in-person Provincial Offences Act (POA) matters scheduled from Monday, March 16, 2020 through to and including Friday, February 26, 2021 will be adjourned and rescheduled to a later date. If you have a matter scheduled in-person during this time, do not attend court. This applies to all POA courts in Ontario.
The Town of Penetanguishene would like to advise the residents and businesses that Main Street may have temporary lane restrictions due to the installation of seasonal banners along Main Street from Thompsons Road to Beck Boulevard by Walkers Electric.
