The Town of Penetanguishene is a lower-tier municipality within the County of Simcoe and located on the southeast shores of Georgian Bay, often referred to as North Simcoe or Huronia, approximately 165 kilometres north of the City of Toronto. It is with mixed emotions that the Town announces the retirement of Donna Lacroix, our Tax Collector/Utility Accounting Clerk. Donna has been a devoted Town of Penetanguishene staff member for over 9 years and will be greatly missed by fellow colleagues and our local residents.

July 28th - Most of us in southern Ontario take safe and plentiful drinking water for granted, but that supply is being protected through the actions of numerous legislative provisions, one of which is a local stakeholder group called the Source Protection Committee, created under the Clean Water Act of 2006.

Since the arrival of COVID-19 in March, residents have done an incredible job of following public health guidelines. In line with provincial reopening’s, The Town of Penetanguishene will be reopening Town Hall, the Public Works Administration Building and the Penetanguishene Fire Hall to the public Monday, July 27th.
