Notice of Gravel Road Maintenance and Grading: April 28, 2026

The Town of Penetanguishene advises residents that gravel road maintenance and grading will take place on gravel roads throughout the town, beginning Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and continuing for the remainder of the week, weather permitting.

This seasonal maintenance will involve grading road surfaces to address potholes caused by winter conditions, improve drainage, and restore safe driving conditions. Crews may also redistribute or apply gravel as required to improve road stability and surface quality.

During this time, residents may experience temporary traffic delays, loose gravel, dust, and brief access interruptions while equipment is actively working. Motorists are asked to drive with caution, reduce speeds, and follow all posted signage when travelling on gravel roads. Where possible, residents are encouraged to avoid parking vehicles on gravel roads during the maintenance period.

The Town thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as this essential maintenance work is completed to ensure safer and smoother travel throughout the community.
