Notice of Public Open House: Affordable And Sustainable Housing Community Improvement Plan (CIP)
The Town of Penetanguishene would like to inform the general public and interested parties that a Public Information Centre will be taking place on Thursday, November 23, 2023 for the Affordable and Sustainable Housing Community Improvement Plan.

WHAT IS A COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN?
The Town of Penetanguishene is embarking on the creation of a Community Improvement Plan (CIP). CIPs are intended to encourage certain types of developments or improvements by allowing municipalities to direct funds and implement policy initiatives over a project area. Once a CIP is established, a municipality can provide financial incentives in support of its CIP policy goals, such as to increase affordable and sustainable “green” housing supply.
The Public Open House will include information on the project, findings from the background work completed by the project team, as well as opportunities to provide your feedback on project direction. Staff and the consultant team will be available. We encourage everyone to attend and contribute to the vision for our Town!
