Notice of Temporary Road Closure – Viel Street

The Town of Penetanguishene wishes to advise residents and motorists that Viel Street will be temporarily closed on Friday, August 14, 2026, between LeCarron Avenue and Dufferin Street, to accommodate a culvert replacement project.

Closure Details:

• Location: Viel Street (between LeCarron Avenue and Dufferin Street)
• Date: Friday, August 14, 2026
• Time: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and exercise caution when travelling in the area. Local access will be maintained where possible.

Emergency services will continue to have access to the area via Dufferin Street throughout the duration of the closure.

The Town appreciates the public's patience and cooperation while this necessary infrastructure work is completed.
