Pulverization and Paving Notice: August 17, 2026

The Town of Penetanguishene, in partnership with Roto Mill and IPAC Paving, will be carrying out asphalt pulverization, grading, and paving work beginning Monday, August 17, 2026.

Construction is expected to take approximately one to two weeks to complete, weather permitting. Work will take place at the following locations:

• Poyntz Street (Main Street to Owen Street)
• Burke Street (Dufferin Street to approximately 50 metres past LeCarron Avenue)
• Clarence Avenue (Robert Street East to Brock Street)
• Gilwood Park Drive (Sandy Bay Road to Forestdale)
• Gilwood Park Drive (Sandy Bay Road to Arlynn Crescent)
• Viel Street (Richelieu Street to Dufferin Street)

A detour will be in place for the affected transit route. Please refer to the attached map for route details.

To ensure the work can be completed safely and efficiently, residents are asked to remove all vehicles from the road allowance and follow all posted signage and directions provided by traffic control personnel. Lane restrictions and temporary road closures may be required throughout the duration of the project.
