Water Service Interruption Notice – Peel Street Reconstruction Project July 22, 2026
The Town of Penetanguishene, in conjunction with Maacon Construction, wishes to inform residents that emergency maintenance will be performed on the water main as part of the Peel Street reconstruction project. To accommodate this work, water service will be temporarily shut off at 8:00 a.m. on July 22, 2026, for properties located on Peel Street between Wolfe Street and Simcoe Street.
Local traffic will continue to have access; however, residents are asked to follow all posted signage and directions provided by flag personnel during this time.
Once water service has been restored, you may notice slight discoloration in the water for a short period. To help clear your water lines, please remove any faucet screens (aerators) and run all taps for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. This will allow any air or sediment to be flushed from your plumbing system.
