Committee of Adjustment: Notice of Hearing July 27
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Committee of Adjustment of the Town of Penetanguishene will
hold an electronic public hearing on MONDAY, JULY 27, 2026, AT 7:00 PM to hear a
Provisional Consent application pursuant to Section 53 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.
The electronic public hearing will be hosted using the “Microsoft Teams” platform. For

comments are requested no later than JULY 22, 2026; however, all comments will be
received and considered up until the evening of the meeting. This notice must be posted
by the owner of any land that contains seven or more residential units in a location that is
visible to all of the residents.
DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLICATION
The Consent (severance) application (File No. B1/2026) applies to the lands municipally
known as 1043 Pine Grove Road identified on the attached Location Map. The purpose
of the application is to create one (1) new lot intended to accommodate a future single
detached dwelling. The proposed Severed Lot has an area of approximately 1,250 square
metres and an approximate frontage of 35 metres on Pine Grove Road. The Retained
Lot proposes to retain the existing single detached dwelling and has an area of
approximately 2,316 square metres and an approximate frontage of 57 metres on Pine
Grove Road. The Consent application has been submitted concurrently with a Minor
Variance application (File No. A4/2026) to reduce the minimum lot area for the proposed
Severed Lot. See the reverse side of this Notice for more information.
APPEAL
If a person or public body has the ability to appeal the decision of the Committee of
Adjustment of the Town of Penetanguishene in respect of the proposed Consent to the
Ontario Land Tribunal but does not make written submissions to the Committee of
Adjustment of the Town of Penetanguishene before it gives or refuses to give a
provisional consent, the Tribunal may dismiss the appeal.
