Winterama Weekend is back, bringing two days of winter fun, community spirit, and unforgettable experiences for all ages! Embrace the best of the season as Penetanguishene comes alive with exciting activities, outdoor adventures, family entertainment, and opportunities to connect with friends, neighbours, and visitors from across the region.

From snowy outdoor fun and festive attractions to community gatherings and winter traditions, Winterama is your chance to celebrate everything that makes winter in our community special. Explore local favourites, discover new experiences, and make lasting memories while enjoying the charm, beauty, and energy of the season.

Returning February 13 and 14, Winterama Weekend is proudly hosted by the Town of Penetanguishene, with local businesses, organizations, and community partners joining the celebration through special events, unique experiences, and exclusive offers. 79th Annual Winterama Weekend

Town of Penetanguishene organized events occur from Saturday, February 13th until Sunday, February 14th. Specific details on local businesses and partners who host events and discounts will be posted in the event schedule.

79th Annual Winterama Buttons

Buttons have returned! Buttons sold before the event will cost $3.00, and buttons sold at the event locations during Winterama Weekend will cost $5.00. Your contribution helps to support all Town-planned events taking place both indoors and outdoors throughout Winterama weekend. Buttons will be for sale at Town Hall, Penetanguishene Centennial Museum & Archives and the Penetanguishene Library starting in January.

For nearly 80 years, Winterama has brought friends, families, neighbours, and visitors together to celebrate the best of winter. As we prepare for our 79th celebration, we're inviting local businesses, organizations, and community groups to bring their own activities, events, performances, crafts, competitions, and creative experiences to Winterama.

Have an idea you'd love to share?  Funding is available through an application process to support selected initiatives and help offset eligible costs. By bringing your activity or event to Winterama, you'll help create the moments, memories, and magic that families, friends, and visitors will cherish long after the celebration is over. 

Early applications are encouraged. Submissions close on January 4, 2027.
